Before and Happier....

Today Fletcher turned 6 months old. I find myself being unusually melancholy. I am sad it's gone by so quickly and I can't believe he is already so big. As I scrolled through photos of the last six months, I smiled in amazement.

I then ran across photos from the last few years. I guess the best part was looking back and remembering what an amazing time Barry and I have had together over the last 9 years. I could compile all the fun and it still wouldn't compare to the excitement we have felt over the past 6 months. We feel so blessed to have this beautiful boy. Thanks little Fletchie... you are truly a gift!

Simply put, we are just happier.

Baby's First Oktoberfest! - PROST!

ROAD TRIP! - We headed to Leavenworth, Washington this weekend and after nearly 20 hours of driving (breast feeding stops can really throw a cramp in your style) we thought we'd remind Fletcher why it was worth being strapped in a car seat and listening to mom and dad sing "WE ARE FAMILY".... for so long...

Reason #1 - To get back in shape after baby... it was originally to run the first half marathon I've ever signed up for... (which I DIDN'T do! - Run or get back in shape - but I did sign up and have a poser shirt to prove it.) Ha!

Reason #2 - To see spend time with great friends! Kim my friend from Seattle & her family! And great friends and their families...Blaire and Candice from Boise.

Reason #3 for me but Reason #1 for Barry -
Oktoberfest in a Bavarian Village! After 950 miles, Barry was in need of a beer!

Reason #4 - To get Fletcher his first Christmas ornament.

Cousin's Unite!

We spent the weekend in Phoenix where Fletcher got to meet his cousin Patrick who is 6 days his senior. The boys wasted no time with small talk. They dove into some big topics right out of the gate. After some trash talk about Sarah Palin it was time to cool off in the Arizona heat. Yowza!

In all seriousness, it was great to get Barry's side of the family all together. We celebrated Patrick's Christening and Barry was excited to be his Godfather. Shawn and Anne were great hosts, while Katy and John kept us entertained all weekend! Grandma Cheri was in her element as usual.
